Part A: Country side

My first reason why life is so difficult for farmers is because the land that they have is arid so its hard to grow crops. so if they dont grow crops they cant eat because they dont have any money to buy food. Another reason is becasue they are poor and they cant affort to buy good land becasue 15% of the land in mexico is good for farming. there is some farms that are communal ( there is more than one farmer), they are called EJIDOS. My last reason is becasue conditions have declined in the country side so there is not much left to do.

I think that mexican farmers want to move to mexico city becasue they think that they will find a better job. another reason is becasue they think they will find schools for their children. I think when the poor farmers migrate, they have hopes of whats coming for them. They cant wait until they get there. But most of the time that doesnt happen becasue there is too many people wich means, less jobs and less foods. I think this is called urbanization.

Part B: Mexico City

Life for rich families is very different from the poor families. Poverty is a big problem in Mexico city. The rich dont have to worry about expensive stuff, but, poor people have to work hard to get what they want. Sometimes they dont think about buying something for them, they just think about what they going to eat. The Albas family is a rich family that lives in another part of mexico city from Anna and her son. Anna works as a servent for the Alvas family. She has to take a few buses to get their.

While tje Albas family eat a big meal of chiken, fish or meat, Anna rushes home to cook her son and family rice and beans. Anna's house is a 2 room one (1 bedroom, 1 kitchen). She wins 6 dollars in a 12 hour day of work. The Alvas' family house is a 15 rooms one. It its like a castle, it has pools and a big colorful garden. Anna's house is made of card board, wood and some blocks ( her house its not very safe when it rains) . Anna Romero's neighborhood is not that good. There is no running water. the green space per person is 18 squared feet.

The Alvas' neighborhood isjust like their house. Anna's son doesnt go to school because they dont have time to because he has to help his mother work. People like Anna Romero are called "have nots"but people like the alva's family are called "haves ". Something that i dont understand is that there is more police officers in the rich neighborhoods than in the poor neighborhoods. There is more crime in the poor neighborhoods.

Part C: Drugs and Violence

I agree that there is a big problem with gangs and drugs in Mexico city. If i were assigned secretary of Reform what i would do to try to stop this is: first i would try to deal with them. maybe i could negociate with them and make them come toheir senses. Another thing i would try is to kind of divide Mexico. for ex: I will have all of the drug dealers in one part and all the other peole in another part of the country. The last thing i will try to stop this is that i would get a leat 30 buses and move people to another state of Mexico and then send the ARMY to that state and kill or arrest all or most of the drug dealers.

Part A: Country Side

Life is difficult for poor mexican farmers because there is a lot of arid lands so they can't farm and if they don't farm they are forming another problem called unemployment, farmers can't have jobs or work because the arid land do not let them and they do not have a job, they do not have money and do not have food so they are passing for rural decline.

So they do not have other selection that migrate, so they move from the farms to the cities thinking that they will find a better life, good jobs and be able to put their children in schools.

Part B: Mexico City

One of Mexico's problems is spatial unequality, 2 examples of spatial unequality are: Alba family & Anna Romero and her son.

In Mexico City life is not very good for "have nots", poor people. For Anna Romero and her son, life isn't good. They live in a house made of cardboard with only 1 room, there is no running water eather toilets or bathrooms. They do not live in a beautiful neighborhood, there are a lot of crimes and that's why there are not police officers, they just can't controled the crime in that area, there is a lot of poverty in the neighborhood and not only with the people that live there, it is also with the enviroment and the standard of living they have, all the houses are made of cardboard and everything you can see is garbage and sand. Anna Romero and her son don't have a lot of opportunities because they are poor and do not have an education. Her son can't even go to school because they are too poor. They eat the same every day, rice and beans only and they are also passing for unemployment, they can't work
there are no jobs.

In Mexico City life is much better for "haves", rich people. Alba family live in a luxurious 15 room mansion with security system every where, they have swimming pools, big garden and also play rooms inside their mansion, they eat well, healthy and good food like a big meal of chicken or what ever they want for dinner. The Alba family have a lot of opportunities because the government helps them, they can be leaders of a big company and also they can be leaders of the government, beacuse they are rich and have a good education, their neighborhood is beautiful, with big houses all over, pretty gardens and a beautiful view and I think the reason why the government unfearly protects them is because of their money, good position and power.

Part C: Drugs & Violence

If the Mexican president has just appointed me as Secretary of Reform I would recommend that the president put someone to select the best police officers, the ones that are not scared of death or violence & gangs and send them to special places where they can learn a lot more about that and how to stop it & put them stronger so that they could be ready for the bad people when they come back.

In the time the police officers are preparing the president should make the "haves" people pay more taxes so that the money that they give "extra" could go to the constructions of new jobs and apartments special for the "have nots" people.

partb:the kind of life rich mexicans got big houses ,nice yards big farms and they eat different except poor people food. some foods they eat is big meal or fish.the rich people could have anything they want and they also get good education and good jobs.the rich people have something that i don't like in my opinion is thinking poor people are dirty. and just because they are poor doesn't mean they are good in life. and I HATE THAT IS FREAKIN IRRITATING AND IT ANNOYS ME i think rich people should try to make poor people not rich but to have a good life.
poor people the poor are different for example ana romeo she has two rooms for her whole family. here are some examples like ana romeo eats rice and beans every day /no lie dats good but yeah. her life is different because they don't really get what they want. also ana romeo kids don't go to school because they have to help their moms and they also don't get good education because they are poor

The Alba family
A. The opportunities available to the Alba family are that they can send their children to the school. Their children don't have to work because the Alba family is rich. The Alba family speek English so they could get any job they want like the could work for the Goverment they eat a big meal of chicken, meat or fish.
B. The house that the Alba family is a house that has fifthteen rooms and in the out side has alot of tree and it looks like if they have a garding.
C.The Mexican government unfairly protect the rich over the poor like this the rich parts of the city has over 1,300 police officers and the poor has about 500 police officers.

Anna Romero and her son
A. The opportunities available to Anna Romero and her son are very little.

Andy,

Two kick corrections. It is the Alba and not the Alva family. Also, we we get paid we say she gets paid or receives $12 and not wins $12.

You could have used some more vocabulary words and used Microsoft Word to help you. The main ideas are great, but we also must pay attention to the little details.

Alexandra,

Parts A could have more key vocabulary words. Part B is pretty good and part C is amazing! You would have my vote for the presidency of any country.

Cristian,

Part A sound a little too much like Andy's work. I see that you are angry about spatial inequality, but you were supposed to use the key vocabulary. Also, you should use a word processor to help with with silly typos (also slow down). Part C?

Wilmer,

Parts A and C are missing and part B is incomplete. What should I say in my feedback?

Anna Romero and her son

A. The opportunities available to Anna and her son are very litte. The reason why is little is because Anna is poor and the money that she have is for food and rent. Is like a cadena because her family might have thruoght the same thing that she is passing now that maens that she did nat go to school for an education because she was supose to help her family by working.

B. The house that Anna and her son are living in is made of card bord and other matirals that they find in the garbich cands.

C. Because thy are poor they live neery the airport because is chiper so they pay less rent . They don't have raning water andthey don't have bathrooms. Because they are poor the population of police is about 500men.

D. Like I say Anna..s son does not go to school because the are called "have not". "Have not" are poor people that can't aford to send their children to school. What I ment to say with they ant aford to send their children to school is that Anna..s son is too bessy helping his mother byworking. Ther are many problem that we have in uor counties that other countries have for example poverty look at Mexico, (Heiti)= Aiti and Africa they redy poor many people are deing. Another problem is the crime in Mexico ther is too much drogaditos. But you don't se a drugadito killing "have" people. "Have" are rich people.

Part C.

If my job was to dial with poverty, violense, gangs and drugs I would gether my poor people to help me because I know tha rich people might not want to help because noting happen to them. What I would do is I would tray to conbence the army of usa to help me, because even if we are from different parts of the world we all came from a women so we don't have so many things that are different and we only have one wold to live in. I would do my best to make conpany to give a job to each poor family in Mexico and to see more children going to school.
I would fight alone with that people next to me figthing againce creme and to chare what we have to see a child crossing the steer without fair. I think that the police should be protecting those who need need their help not those who pay make sure that they woulnt felt. If I was the capten of the army in Mexico I would treing my men to protect those who need to be proteted. To built house for poors and to dail with unemploment, urbanization, pollution, crime and the other problems in Mexico. That is what I would do do if my job is to trans from Mexico.

Wilmer,

Much better. It shows that you know the subject, but it also shows a certain degree of laziness (using the text device on your cell phone too quickly without a word processor shows many careless spelling mistakes).

You can do better and I expect better!

Mr. PPD

P.S. You need to step up your game next year in 8th grade!
