Part A.

1. The ancient Egypt environment was good. It had good topography. Topography is important for farming because you need a lot of space to farm, and a flat space. You are not going to be farming on a rocky mountain. It also had many kinds of vegetation. Vegetation it is important too because plants are a source of food.

2. A. History detectives argue because the Nile River was the one, that helped the Egyptians survive on Africa. History detectives mean that with out the Nile River ancient Egypt would not exist.

B. If the Nile River never existed, the Egyptian will have a hard time doing agriculture. It will be very hard to find papyrus to make paper to write. With out the Nile River Egypt would not exist. People would not be able to get fish. They would not be able to grow crops.

Part B. Pharaoh, Government Officials, Priest.

To the pharaoh ancient Egypt was a fair society. The pharaoh owned everything. all the money, food, all the slaves. The society gave them respect. Pharaohs had a lot of power.

To the government officials Egypt was a fair society. Government officials had every thing they wanted big houses, money, good food, they had power..

To the priestess ancient Egypt was a fair society. Priests were rich and had power. Egyptians really respected them.

1. The environment of ancient Egypt was kingdom, villages, and farms. The topography is varied because the sand dunes are different sides generally get smaller as the land tilt as it goes down to the sea.

2. The Nile River is a gift because it helped people to more quickly developed agriculture. The natural irrigation provided by the Nile’s smaller branches in vegetation grew all over it. This eliminated the need for man made irrigation. If the Nile had never existed the Egyptians would not have flourished as to worry about how much food they could grow. The large amounts of fertile land provided by the Nile allowed their population to be very large which would not have been possible otherwise.

3.
A. Pharaohs
B. Government officials
C. Peasants

Pharaohs were really, really rich. No because they already pharaoh they are like gods. Their homes are really big and it was a palace. The pharaohs eat really delicious food. The pharaohs had all the power because they could tell you what to do. I would like to be a pharaoh because they have all the power and they are like gods.

Government official were really rich. No because they had a good life and they live in a good place. Their home was big and they didn’t have to worry about anything. They eat “cook roasted ducks, geese, pigeons, quail, antelope”. And more fancy food. They got power because some of them came from pharaoh’s family. Yes I would like to be part of government because they had a good life and they worked with the pharaoh.

Peasants were really poor because the had to farm to eat. Yes because if they work really hard they could become a scribe. They lived in a poor house. The peasant used to eat crops. They did not have power because they work for pharaoh. No because thy used to suffer for food.

The ancient Egypt Enviroment was important because three important enviromental factors were water, topography, and vegetation. I think that vegetation is important because the crops people grow are also a type of vegetation. Water, topography, and vegetation were important wherever people settled in the ancient world. Topography refers to the shape of the land. It includes features like mountains, hills, plains, and deserts. I learned that the most important enviromental factor in early human settlement was water.

The history detectives argue
because the nile river is important to them and without the nile river all the humans will die of thirst. And without the nile river there is no transportation for boats to travel anywhere.

And if the nile river didn't existed than Egyptian people can't make agriculture. Sometimes the Egyptian need water to keep enemies away from there large temples or communities, because the Egyptian peole can build a big circle around the temple or communitie and fill the circle with water. Another reason because the farmers need the water because without the water than they can't make crops for people can eat.

Yes my group can become a higher group in being scribes. and thats the only thing that the peasants could be when they are going to a higher group nothing else.

The peasants lived in simple houses made of mud bricks.

My group usally ate a typical meal that might include onions, cucumbers, fish, homemade bread, and water or beer.

No the peasants are one of the groups that have no power because as a reward for their hard work, was that they were allowed to gather up as much leftover grain as they could and keep it for food. I say this because the peasants didn't get payed for there hard work just leftover food thats it no money i think thats not fair for the peasants.

No i dont want to be in this group because if i was poor than i wont have any money to buy any clothes. And I think thats bad because the king dosen't give any money to the peasants just food. Thats why I think thats bad to be poor.

Alison,

It was not that topography was important to the ancient Egyptian, but what type of topography (flat land and not many mountains and hills).

Part B does not address all questions. I expect more of you.

Jonathan,

Most peasants could not become scribes. You did not describe the vegetation of ancient Egypt such as the delta and deserts.

Good job for most part

Steven,

You need to use a word processor such as Microsoft Word and slow down a little. Also, you only described your group. You needed to describe 3 groups.
