1st Paragraph:
In the Government there are 3 different branches that control the laws of the country. The first branches is the Legislative: is the one who make the laws and is in Charge of the Senators and the House of Representative. The second branch is the Executive: is who execute the laws, who put the laws in function and is in charge of the President and the Vice-President. The last one branch is the Judicial: is the people who make sure to carry out the laws, to keep the laws and is in charge of the Court and the Supreme Court.

2nd Paragraph:

In my opinion I think that the most powerful branch of the government is the Legislative. For me this is the most important branch because without this branch there will not any laws, and then any of the other branches don't have anything to do. Other reason of why i think that the Legislative branch is the most important is because they are the people who create all the laws of the United States of America and all the people have to keep all those laws.

Ambar,

But don't forget that if the laws that the legislative makes are against the constitution, the judicial can tell Congress to change the law. Well, done... You know what the three bracnhes do and who are the main characters... don't forget about the cabinet and secretaries!

Paragraph 1
The three branches of the government are legislative, executive and judicial. The power of the legislative branch is to make laws. The congress is in charge of the legislative branch, the congress is divided in two: the senate and the House of Representatives. The power of the executive branch is to execute or to verify if they are right for the country. The president is in charge of the executive branch. The power of the judicial branch is to find what is the meaning of each law and to study how that law can be apply in the country which is United States. The Supreme Court is in charge of the judicial branch, this court is also the biggest court in the United States.

Paragraph 2
In my opinion the most powerful branch of the government is the legislative because if the legislative don’t make the laws then the other branches cannot do the work. It means that in my opinion the legislative is the most powerful branch because it controls the other branches when it make the laws in the way that if the legislative branch doesn’t exist the others neither. The reason of why I think the legislative is the most powerful is because when this branch make a law is when the other two make their job executing or looking what the law mean and how is going to be apply to the country. The executive and the judicial branches depend of the legislative. It is like in math the Y depends on X, the legislative is the independent.

First....

Legislative Branch, The framers gave this branch the power to make laws. The congress is in charged of this branch and it have two parts that are , senate and house of representatives.

Executive Branch, They have the power of enforce or carry out the laws make by the congress. The President is in charged of this branch.

Judicial Branch, They have the power to settle disagreements about what our laws mean. The Supreme Court is in charged of this branch.

Second and last..

In my opinion the three of then are very important because each one of then do different things that need one for the other for it can work good. But if i have to choose one as the most powerful it would be the legislative Branch because this is the one who control the other ones because if not without that branch the other two branch cant do their work, And because that is the one who do the laws and without laws this word would be less organize , the legislative is the one who don't depend about any other is like the head of all the others works.. In conclusion, all branch are very important because they have different work to do however , the legislative is the one who control the others so is the mos powerful.

The three branches of the government makes different jobs for the society. The legislative makes the laws this is divide between two house senate and representatives. The executive branch execute the laws, the president is en charge of execute the laws. The judicial branch is the branch which make sure that the law is agree with the constitution. The judge is en charge of this branch.

The most powerful branch of the government is the legislative for many reasons. first if they don't make the laws how the executive is going to execute the laws if they are not made. Second, the judicial could not work if the executive don't make their work. To conclude, the legislative branch is the most powerful branch of the government for certain reasons.

The three branches of the goverment are three Legislative, executive and judicial. The first that is legislative is:a having to do with making or passing laws:Senators and represantives have legislative duties. The Executive branch is: having to do with directing or managing matters in business or government, example of the executive branch is:The president heads he executive branch of the United States government.and the last one Judicial that is:having to do with courts of law or judges ,example of the Judicial branch is:it is responsabilityof the judicial branch of the government to make the meaning of the law clear.

Ithink that three
importantes because si no existe la Judicial branch ninguna se puede llevar a cabo. y si no existe la Legislative ninguna delas otras se pueden llevar a cabo because no hay laws. example if don't exist the Judicial we can make laws and carry the laws, so for this ocasion i think that each branch depend of the others.thats what i think

The three branches of the U.S.A government are the legislative, judicial and the executive branch. The executive job is to execute or check if they are doing the right thing for the country, the president is the head of the executive branch. The judicial branch is in charge of study each law and check how they can be apply here in the country, the supreme court is the head of this branch and also is the biggest court on the United States. The legislative branch is in charge of make laws, the congress is the head of this branch, but the congress is dividing into two houses; the house of senate and the house of representative.

In my opinion I think that the three branches are important for the government because what one doesn’t do the other does. If one of them doesn’t do his job there will be something missing in the government, is like a body if one part of your body is missing you fell incomplete and you don’t do your work very well. That’s why I think the three of them are very important for the government.

HI MR. DILLEY I ALREADY DID ALL THE QUESTIONS THAT ARE MISSING INCLUDING THE ONES OF EXTRA POINTS. THANKS!!!

ONLINE QUESTION

-FEDERAL GOVERNMENT:

Legislative branch: the legislative branch is responsible for make the laws and give the money to the others two branches. The Supreme Court is the most important part of the legislative branch.
Executive Branch: the executive branch is responsible for execute the laws made by the legislative branch. The president is the head of the executive branch.
Judicial branch: the judicial branch is responsible for make sure of the laws made and execute by the legislative and executive branch. The courts are the most important part of the judicial branch.

-Question:

In my opinion the three branches have equal powers it is what the constitution say but the question is: is it due by the constitution? But well opining the branch that has more power because of its assignation is the legislative branch because the United States is in many wars it needs a lot of money and the congress is who give the money to it and is the only part of the government that ca declare an d conduct the war.

Legislative Branch are the one who have the power to make laws. Our nation legislative is called congress. The congress have two parts that are senate and the house of representatives. The congress also vote to approve a bill or veto. The congress check the power of the president.

Executive Branch have the power to carry out the laws made by the congress. The president is the head of this branch. The framer give the president enough power to carry out but not too much because a president might be able to gain unlimited power and become a dictator as Sadam Hussein and Trujillo.

Judicial Branch have the power to settle disagreements about our laws means. Judicial Brach also include lower courts. The supreme court is the highest court in the judicial branch and it has the final saying in the constitution matter. The judges in the supreme court are called justices and head are called chief justice. Justice are nominate by the president and senate. They have the power to say what the president is allow to do.

In my opinion the most powerful branch is Legislative Branch because they are the one who make laws, approve laws, and receive little from people. They also make laws that think that will help people. They also may learn about the problems of the country and find way to resolve it that why for me is the one more important and powerful.

Kehidy,

As usual great work. I always like the fact that you answer questions on at least two levels: they are all important and this is why... If I have to pick one, I would pick because...

I have the feeling that the Framers would have agreed with you. There are 100 Senators and close to 500 Representatives. They did not trust single leaders. Yet, the executive has highjacked the country. What would George Washignton think of George Bush (the "education" president)? LOL...

Pay attention to the use of capital letters...

Karen,

The three are supposed to be just as important and they can't exist without each other! But sometimes things don't turn up the way they were planned. Don't you think? We haven't had a Declaration of War by Congress since World War II

Coronado,

Good point... the three branches through checks and balances need each other. If not, then technically each branch would not be able to do their job (but have you seen how much power the executive has had lately?).

One more thing...
the pronoun for each branch is IT not HE

Congress never approved... The Korean War, the Vietnam War,Panama, First Iraq War, Afghanistan and this ridiculous second Iraq War! Just for your thinking?

Who is the most powerful court? Who are the secretaries and the cabinet? What are the two houses of Congress called?

PPD

Ninoshka,

The judicial might have to study laws, but it is really in charged of telling whether or not the actions of the executive and legislative are legal (constitutional).

Who is in charged each of the three branches?

Paloma,

What do you mean by receiving little from people? Also, what about the Cabinet and secretaries (ministros)?
Great analogy on why the framerS(there were more than just one) wanted to limit the powers of the president. I also enjoyed your explanation on why you believe that the legislative is the most important branch. However, I am a bit of a cinic... I wish the legislative was everything you wrote! We need a stronger and more honest legislative that will pay attention to our problems and stay away from the big money of corporations and lobbysts!

A+ as usual

How was your high school interview? I hope thatt hey realized that you are the cream of the crop!!!

the each branch has a different job every job that they do is very important for the government.the first branch is the legislate they are who make the laws and who can change the laws.the second one is the executive they are who execute the laws, they are who put the laws in function.and third one is judicial that branch is the people who make sure to carry out the laws, to keep the laws and is in charge of the court and the supreme court.

for me the most powerful branch is the legislative because without the people who work on that branch the people would not have any law and the people would do whatever they want and they would not respect the police and the people who work on th government. so that why I think thats the most powerful branch.

The legislative branch is the branch the make the laws. The they think are the best for the country and the people, the people the make this laws are the senators and the congressmen or if you want to called them the representatives. To enter to this branch you most be 30 year old or older (make laws) and 25 or older (Congressmen) and this all together is the congress and it is locate it on Washington D.C. The Judicial branch is the branch the keeps everything running in place(I think they don’t do it so well) this branch is to look up for other people and the power is separate on different levels and the highest one is the Supreme Court and you have to be 18 or older to enter to this branch. And the last branch is the Executive branch the branch the execute everything for example it represent the country. This branch is the branch where the president is, is the one the give you 2 times to be president and those 2 times are of 4 years, to be on this branch you have to be 35 or older so you can have more experience in live, this people work on the white house and you always have to be born on the United Sates.

On my opinion the most powerful branch is the judicial branch because it control everything you do, it controls on what kind of way you are going to live within being rich or poor or the middle class person, it the one that can take you to jail by doing what you are doing, they can not take you jail just because they want to they got to have a reason like the amendment says , it the branch the almost control all the country and make the place better, and it keeps it running all the way

Luis Nunez,

Okay Luis. One needs to be at least 30 to run for the senate. Judges don't have an age requirement, therefore 18 or older will do (but nobody that young will ever (hopefully) be nominated and approved since he or she is too young and he or she will not have a law degree by that age).

Do you really think that the Judicial is so powerful? Perhaps, at times they are (Brown vs. Board of Education, Miranda Rights), but now... oh well, maybe things can get better.

P.S. Cabinet? Secretaries?
