Part A:
I think is Global Warming and stronger Hurricanes in the Caribbean and North America. Because global warming is hurting the environment and it kills plants and trees. Then there will be less oxygen. The Hurricanes in the Caribbean are very strong so is very dangerous for people. Then the Hurricane are caused by hot water (80*F or more). The Hurricanes are created in Africa.
Part B:
In Mexico-city there is violence and drugs. Every were in the world there is poverty, violence and drugs. These things are hurting us. Drugs, drugs are killing people. Because people get angry when they are drunk so they hurt or kill them self or hurt or kill other people. Violence is killing people worst than drugs. The difference is that drugs cause the violence. Then there’s pure violence that is caused by there own inner rage. They both have almost the same affect.

Part A:
The biggest problem in the world is global warming and stronger hurricanes in the Caribbean and North America. Global warming is causing by nature. Hurricanes are causes by Hot water the water has to be 80*F or more.
The Hurricane has many parts it have the eye, eye wall, and rain band.
The ice is melting in millions of years more some of the Islands are going to disappear. The global warming is making the hurricanes stronger because they need Hot water and the global warming in crises the temperature of the water.
Part B :
The biggest problem in the world of humans is poverty, violence, drugs,
And spatial inequality. in the world there’s criminals. some people killed
Because they liked and some because if they don’t killed the drugs dealer
Killed them. Poverty is every were Africa is the most poor continent of the
World. Some of the people that are poor they don’t have houses bathroom
Water and the houses are made by cardboard. Drugs are made in trees
Some people have the drugs in the back yard. Spatial inequality is more
Lake in Mexico in the class I sow picture of poor people and rich people.
The rich people have water , bathroom, big houses made of good wood or
Ceramic walls and floors. The poor people doesn’t have water, bathroom,
Little houses made of cardboard or bad wood, the floor is sad or bad wood.

Part A 2 PROBLEM
I think that deforestation in the Amazon land conflict is the biggest world geography problem because when people from another countries came to the Amazon to take the Brazilians people money by cutting the rubber trees But there was this man he’s name was Chico Mendez he were trying
To stop them but he got killed after he got killed he’s wife was trying to do the same think but she is affray to get killed
And that’s the biggest problem in the word
JEFFERSON E. HARRIS
PART B human geography
The word is drugs violence and killers
Because I heard that in Guatemala 4 kids killed a women they say the if they don’t killed the women the gang banners will killed them and I think that the is true because I have this friend that the gang banners make hem sell drugs and they were trying
Do it to me
ANDY TEJEDA WROTE:
Part A: Physical Geography
I think the biggest physical geography problem is Global Warming and stronger hurricanes in the Caribbean and North America. I think this because in global warming stronger hurricanes occur and they mess up people’s houses and some people may die. Another reason is because the island in The Caribbean may drown because of Global Warming. I think if this keeps on happening (Stronger hurricanes because of global warming in the Caribbean islands and North America) many people will die and some will have to move to other countries or continents and there will be less jobs and less foods in those countries or continents. I also think that this is the biggest physical geography problem because in the whole world there is global warming and the ice in places like Antarctica and the North Pole will melt which will cause some of the islands like Iceland and Greenland to drown.
Part B: Human Geography
I think the biggest human geography is spatial inequality, poverty, violence and drugs in Mexico-city and the world. I think is this because farmers in Mexico and the world are really poor and they depend from the crops that they grow to live. Another reason is because 15% of the land in Mexico is good for farming. Another reason is because violence and drug dealers in Mexico and the World are killing many police officers. Another reason is because the drug dealers are like taking over Mexico City because the police don’t want to go where the drug dealers are because they are affray that they might kill them and their families. Poverty is a really big problem in the whole world because the poor/farmers people want to move to the city and get a job and education and as the poor/farmers keep on moving to the city there will be less jobs and less foods. Another reason is because the rich people don’t want to share their money with the poor people so the poor live in houses made of cardboard and many different materials (their houses are not comfortable). I think this is the biggest problem because these problems lead to a strike. The poor people are going to want to have the same rights as the rich.

Juan,
You are a brilliant young man who is simply not using your full potential. Here are some of the problems with this question:
Hurricanes are formed in the west coast of Africa but not in Africa (Atlantic Ocean)
How does global warming destroy plants and trees?
Not enough details and key vocabulary like extreme weather
The second part is better but again, very little key vocabulary
What is good:
You did your work!
I loved the sentence "Then there's pure violence that is caused by there (their) own inner rage" (powerful)
More work in the 8th grade
Mr. PPD
Jaycob,
It has been wonderful experience getting t know you as a student and as a soccer player.
Part A:
Needs Work:
Global Warming is mostly caused by humans (but to your defense we didn't talk too much about it)
Island might be submerged in hundreds, nit millions of years
Good Work:
A huge problem for people born in countries like Puerto Rico.
Part B :
Problems:
You needed a conclusion!
Drugs do not grow in trees (people take plants (sometimes just come from labs) and make it stronger drugs on laboratories!
Good Work:
Mexico City's spatial inequality is a sad example of how selfish we are!
Mr. PPD
Jefferson,
Jefferson,
Part A is your best work of the semester! This is the work that you need to do next year!
Part B
The example that you saw on television is exactly what happens in areas with so much spatial inequality. But you needed to mention some of the information we discussed in class.
Mr. PPD
Andy,
You did an amazing work on part A, and yet you still can do better! Go for straight A's and always aim high!
People drown...
Island will get submerged!
Part B is not quite as good as part A. Now, you said that only 15% of the land is good for farming... where did you get your source?
P.S. I agree with you 100%
Mr. PPD
Part A: Physical Geography
The biggest geography problem is deforestation in the Amazon. The reason why deforestation in the Amazon is the biggest geography problem is because people are cutting the trees without thinking that there is a biodiversity of animals in the Amazon and that for every tree they cut they are destroying the carbon-Oxygen cycle. Trees gives us oxygen and we and the biodiversity of animals that exist not only in the Amazon, also in the world answer by giving them carbon dioxide and that's how the carbon-oxygen cycle works but if people keep cutting the trees we are not going to have trees that gives us oxygen and without oxygen we cannot breathe so we are going to die. Some animals in the Amazon, for example the monkeys, need the trees to live and to protect themselves from animals that can eat them, for example the snakes, if one tree is cut down; consequently, a family of monkeys will died because they are taking their houses away and allowing the animals to eat them, so deforestation is also killing animals, too. What is worse is that they are cutting the trees but they are cutting them for bad things, they are not using the trees for sustainable development, they use them for things that already exist and that can be recycle or fix, for example, some tables made of wood, in the world there is a lot of wood tables but the problem is that we don't know how to recycle, if the tables brake we throw it away and buy another one when the other table can fix, and that means that we are making the people to cut more trees. Every tropical rainforest is disappearing because after all the trees are cut down it is not a forest anymore.
Part B: Human Geography
The biggest human geography problem is land conflict and crimes against environmentalists and rubber tappers in the Amazon. The reason why land conflict and crimes against environmentalists and rubber tappers in the Amazon is the biggest human geography problem is because these people keep cutting the trees, specially the rubber tappers trees to make no necessary things, we are going to have no oxygen and like I said, without oxygen we cannot breathe so we are going to die. I think that if the people keep fighting for the land in the Amazon they are not going to have time to take care of the land, I think they will destroy it more, by the garbage people throw, by not paying attention to it and by the cutting of trees.
Alexandra,
Part A is PHENOMENAL!
I wish you had talked about Chico Mendez in Part B... but very good overall! Keep working hard and good luck next year!

Sad studies
Part A: physical Geography
I think that deforestation in the Amazon is the biggest physical problem.
One reason why I think that deforestation in the Amazon rain forest is the biggest problem of the three problems that we have studied, is because desertification in Africa is bad and the Sahara desert is getting bigger therefore if we help stop desertification and forget about disforestation in the Amazon, the Amazon rain forest will became a desert little by little. We need to use the rain forest in a “sustainable development” way. We are helping deforestation in the Amazon. We are not only hearting the Amazon we are also killing the animals and more importing parts of the Earth’s lungs. The Amazon gives us oxygen and that is another reason why the Amazon is in danger of becoming a desert. The Amazon is also us for food even is the way we use it for food doesn’t help it but it help people to stay alive. We most find away to use the Amazon rain forest with out killing it. This is why I think that deforestation in the Amazon forest is the biggest problem.
Part B: Human Geography
In my opinion the biggest Human geography problem is spatial inequality, poverty, violence and drugs in the world. There are many reasons why this is the biggest Human geography problem and I will be talking about three of then. One reason why spatial inequality, poverty, violence and drugs is a big problem because people are killing each other. This a big problem because on June 4, 2009 I saw in the news that 4 children at the age of 11,12 and 13 killed a pregnant 28 years old woman. Another reason why is because we need to get the children in safe because they are the future and they will be making the choses to change the future. Therefore if this problem keeps on happening our World will not have a future. I know people that cross the boder for a better life and they use to sell or smoke drugs. This is another reason why because some of them are still yong and what thay been thrught was so hard for them that they might not have a good carrier.
Feedback:
Part A:
You mean "hurting". You have good reasons, but the writing needs to get better next year. Don't use your cell phone, use a computer!
Part B:
It is SAD studies and a SAD world. All of these problems are connected. Poverty and lack of a proper education leads to the "birth" of prisons, violence and drugs. Those Guatemalan kids were the victims of an unjust world and the poor 28 year-old pregnant women was the victim of a spatial inequality that ravages throughout the entire world including Boston.
Well Done
Mr. PPD
