210 Ancient Civilizations
Part 1: Choose a Greek god: take notes & write a summary.
Part 2: You have to write a myth. It's up to you about what. It must teach a lesson: Morals (how to behave), science, nature... Talk to me if you need ideas. Remember, myths are not real!
Part 3: Post both parts 1 and 2 online.
If you are not done by class than it must be done over vacation!

Hera was Zeus wife. The first wife that Zeus had was Hera. Cronus and Rhea gave birth to Hera. Hera was a Greek goddesses. The son of Hera and Zeus (Hephaestus) was a smith-god. Hera was jealous of Aphrodite poets and song. Hera was worship in Peloponnesus. Hera was the goddesses of marriage. Hera hated Heracles. She hated him because he was the son of another woman who Zeus had a woman with. Hera was jealous.
Once upon a time Lucy wanted to be a hero but she did not have super powers. She dreamed of her powers. She once saw a play that showed what she wanted to be. Then, there came a day that there was a super hero job. There was a problem because there was nobody in those times that had super powers. There was another Lucy in trouble that needed her or a real super heroes help. So then Lucy said I am going to save her and she did save her. Then, Lucy saved the other Lucy by bringing her out of the burning building. After that she was proud of her self and learned a lesson.
The lesson here was that even though your’re not a real super hero with powers you could still be a hero.
Brenda,
I will give you feedback later!

Hephaestus
Hephaestus was a god of fire. He was the less beautiful of the gods but he was the most skilled one. His wife’s name was Aphrodite. She was the most beautiful of the goddesses. Aphrodite wasn’t faithful to Hephaestus. He was son of Hera and Zeus. His mother was so horrified that she throws him from mount Olympus because of his
“Crippled” feet.
Hermes
Hermes was the son of Zeus and a nymph. He was messenger of the gods and God of travel. It was Zeus that chose him to be the gods messenger. On the day that he was born he invented the lyre and stole some of Apollo’s cattle’s by leading them backwards. Hermes was bright, talented and quick-witted.
Myth
Once upon a time there was a hominid that wanted to know many things like what makes the rainfall. His master told him that it rains because one of their gods was crying, but this hominid didn’t believe that, so he wants it to ask another of his master. This master said that rain comes from the smoke of the fire they make and goes up to the clouds and then the clouds start to fall in drops of water. Then he thought that it was not true. The hominid said that maybe the rain comes from the evaporation of water and then it makes clouds and then the rain falls. The lesson of this myth is that when you want to know something first you think about it and if you think is not true the thing you thought you should ask a person that you think has more knowledge than you.

Brenda,
You need to work on transitional sentences. Your first part reads as a lists of bullets. However, the information was very detailed! What lesson did Lucy learn? I am not sure.
Explain it to me!
PPD
Andy,
Great idea to do two gods. It was very detailed, but it read as a list of bullets. You need to work on your transition sentences and write in your own words.
Your myth might not actually be a myth. I am not sure... but I thought that it was very well written and very smart! I liked it a lot. It was a great lesson!
Well done!

Cristian,
Thanks for turning in your work. It's a little late, but the important thing is that you did it. You need to capitalize proper nouns such a Greece and Hades. Also, you must capitalize the first letter of a sentence. I am not sure if your messages actually teaches the "never give up". Explain it to me.
